Brennemann Elementary

Brennemann Elementary school has now completed almost FOUR weeks of virtual learning. By the end of the first week, we had a high of 91% attendance!! Our goal moving forward is 95% attendance. The administrative team did 8 home visits and made many phone calls to get more students involved. Also, our half-day Pre-k teachers visited all of their students at home. Thank you parents for all that you are doing to support your child during remote learning. We cannot do this without you! The teachers are beginning to dive right into the curriculum and we’re already seeing SO much learning taking place. This team effort has been stupendous and we’re excited to keep moving along. Please know, we will host virtual curriculum night on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 during two 30 minute sessions between 5:30PM- 6:30PM. More information regarding this will be forthcoming!

Below are reminders for our families about how to get connected and stay connected:

1. You need a device (ipad or Chromebook). Please stop by the school between 10a.m.-12p.m. if your child is still in need of a device. If you have questions contact the main office at 773-534-5766. 

2. You need internet access- Click to find out if you are eligible for free internet. You will need your child’s student ID number and date of birth. 

3. Your child needs his/her username and password for GMAIL – Click below for directions to claim your child’s account or to reset your password, if needed.

4. If you still need access to the teacher’s Google Classroom and Meets Link, you can find this information on our Remote Learning Class Links Website.   Your child will still need to be logged into their CPS Gmail account to get into Google Classroom or the Meets Link. 

*When in doubt, LOGGING INTO YOUR CPS GMAIL IS KEY!

We are still working on offering parent workshops to help you with remote learning technology platforms. CPS is continuing to offer ongoing training for parents – click this link to view. 

ALL SCHOOL FORMS WERE DUE BY FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 11, 2020. If you need a school forms packet, stop by the main office between 9a.m.-4p.m. for pick up. Please turn in ASAP. Thanks!
