Library public service hours are 10:00 – 5:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 12:00 – 7:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The book-drop in front of the library is always open and we ask that you return all items there. With the upcoming holiday weekend, you may find it full. Please just hold on to your items until we reopen on September 8 and can empty it. Remember, there are no overdue fines, and all items renew automatically.
In accordance with the most current studies, all returned items go immediately into quarantine for at least four full days before we handle them. So you will notice items remaining on your account after you’ve returned them. If an item is still on your account after a week, just give us a call or email uptown@chipublib.org and we’ll check the status.
We’re still offering “grab and go” service. If you call us, we’ll get your books and other items ready for you. We’ll check them out and put them in a bag on the holds shelf. You can pick them up and just zip out the door – no standing in line to check out.
To keep everyone safe, please remember to wear your mask when you come, please observe guidelines about distancing, and please try to limit your time in the building.
