Meet Buena Park Neighbors’ Andrew Lueck

Andrew leads Buena Park Green, its neighborhood committee that works to build community involvement and connections through beautification and environmental sustainability. The committee puts together clean and green events in the spring and fall and other volunteer, educational and networking events throughout the year.

Andrew was born and raised in Wisconsin but has lived in Chicago for almost 14 years. He lives in Buena Park with his wife, Laura. They chose the neighborhood for its diversity of residents, quiet charm, proximity to the lakefront and ease of access to the rest of the city.

Andrew works as an urban forester and environmental planner. He owns his own environmental consulting firm, Planned Forest Solutions, LLC which works with municipalities, businesses and residents to manage trees in urban areas. He regularly volunteers with environmental organizations in Chicago, where he works to build appreciation for nature in urban areas.

Andrew loves spending time outdoors. His favorite outdoor spots in Chicago include the Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary, Northerly Island and LaBagh Woods. He is a big sports fan, and will always support his home state Brewers, Packers and Badgers.
