General Meetings
General Meetings are open to all residents of Buena Park and anyone else who’s interested in our neighborhood. They provide a forum for neighbors to gather, share thoughts, and build a vibrant community. At each General Meeting we also invite a guest to speak about issues of neighborhood concern. In the past we’ve had local elected officials, representatives of local community organizations, a community relations representative from the Chicago Cubs, and a representative from Chicago Conservation Corps.
Buena Bunnies

Buena Bunnies has become a hallmark of Buena Park’s social events. Come join your imaginative neighbors a few weeks before Easter when we gather together at Nick’s Uptown to craft amazing Easter Baskets filled with candy, stuffed snugly things and lots of creativity! All baskets are donated to St. Mary of the Lake and given away to neighborhood families.
Buena Park Pub Crawls
Join us as we explore our neighborhood watering holes in a fun afternoon filled with various activities with something for everyone at each stop.
Clean & Green
2 events annually, Spring and Fall. In 2010 we had Clean & Green events on May 22 and September 25.
Each spring and fall Buena Park Neighbors hosts Clean and Green Volunteer Neighborhood Clean-up events where neighbors come together to make Buena Park shine. After the work is done, the group heads to a local restaurant for some well deserved food and drinks.
Concerts in the Park
2 concerts annually, usually in June and August. In 2010 we held Concerts in the Park on June 24 and August 19.

Your very own Buena Circle Play Lot becomes a mini Ravinia as families lay down their blankets and listen to music sponsored by local businesses and Buena Park Neighbors, in conjunction with the Chicago Park District. Many thanks to our current and former sponsors!

Buena Pumpkin Neighbors Safe Trick-or-Treating
Annually, on October 31st
Neighbors in Buena Park take this holiday very seriously as buildings on Kenmore (between Irving Park and Montrose) each try to outdo each other with ghostly noises, scary costumes and the occasional haunting of the Buena Circle Play Lot! Volunteer safety monitors are on the streets along with Chicago’s finest making sure all of your little ghouls and guys have a frighteningly good, yet safe, time! This annual event always takes place on Halloween night. Halloween is always a bootiful evening in Buena Park.

Holiday Giving Program
Annually in November-January. In 2010 we will launch the donation drive in November.
Each year Buena Park Neighbors embraces the holiday spirit by undertaking a Holiday Giving Program to benefit our neighbors in need. In previous years we have adopted local families, providing holiday cheer and assistance over the holiday season. We have also given gift baskets to local seniors and collected warm-weather gear, including hats, scarves and mittens, for students at Brenneman Elementary School . View more photos from 2009.
